Duda Melzer, the President and the Chairman of Grupo RBS, is known for his innovative initiatives that changed the fate of Brazilian media industry. He successfully transitioned the internet revolution and digital ecosystem to his media conglomerate, Grupo RBS, and that prompted the signals for revolutionary changes in other industry players as well. Since Melzer started working with the firm in 2004, it saw largely focusing on digital ventures, and in 2012, he founded e.Bricks Digital, an investment firm with a focus on innovative startups in digital space. The company has operations in the Unites States and Brazil with investments in Wine.com.br, Pontomobi, Predicta, Guia da Semana, Hagah, ObaOba, Lets, and Vitrinepix.
Melzer has played significant roles in creating utility website platforms and news web portals that have registered significant revenue for Grupo RBS. He joined the group as a Director General for the Brazilian Market and became the President and Chief Executive Officer of the group by 2012. In 2016, Melzer got another elevation and became the Chairman of Grupo RBS. The group runs a number of TV channels, radio stations, digital magazines, and newspapers. Eduardo Sirotsky Melzer started his career with the renowned American management consulting firm, Booz Allen & Hamilton, in the year 2001. Later, he collaborated with Delphi as a Senior Financial Analyst and also worked with Box Top Media, a New York-based non-traditional media firm, as its General Manager. Before starting his career, Melzer completed his Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the PUCRS, Porto Alegre. He secured his MBA from the Harvard Business School. Melzer also studied the Building and Leading Customer Centric Organizations and Effective Strategies for Media Companies from Harvard to expand his knowledge in mass media and to improve his entrepreneurial skills.
